Young Farmers Legislative Breakfast

We had the wonderful opportunity to be involved and spectate the cutting of the annual New York Rockefeller Christmas tree! Chosen right in our back yard in Elkton, MD. Devon Price the owner of the tree was interviewed as well as myself!
The tree is a 79-foot tall, 46-foot in diameter, 12-ton Norway Spruce. Tree was resting on 115-foot-long trailer. It took several hours to safely secure it to the trailer
The replacement tree is a seedling from the original tree.

Great fun decorating our CASA Christmas tree! Title of the tree entry is “Welcome To The Miller’s Farm”. Let the bidding begin
Tree #16.
Festival of Trees is now open to the public at Woody’s and bidding is open though December 4th both in person and online at https://www.cecilcasa.org/festival-of-trees-2021
From CASA of Cecil County:
CASA of Cecil County has worked hard over the last 5 years to grow the Festival of Trees into the largest holiday festival in Cecil County. Hosted at Woody’s Crab House in North East, our Winter Wonderland boasts a wide variety of beautiful trees, all sponsored and decorated by our local businesses, families, and organizations.
Come visit us for the FREE festivities and make a bid on your favorite Trees! The event opens on November 13th and runs every day until December 4th.
When coming to this event, you are sustaining and strengthening the capacity of CASA of Cecil County. You help us continue our mission to advocate for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Help us Change a Child’s Story. Make the Festival of Trees part of your Holiday Tradition.
The Festival of Trees is a 3 week long silent auction. Every tree at the Festival is available for the public to bid on. You can bid in person at the Festival itself, or here on our website.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Cecil Arts Annual Auction & Dinner Dance at Schaefer’s Canal House.
Thank you Cecil County for voting me the second favorite elected official![]()

Great Cecil County Fair Appreciation Dinner! I have been on the fair board for 43 years. This board has the hardest working volunteers I know!

I am very excited the Bill to Restrict Solar was passed this week. I have been working on this legislation for over 9 months and I want to thank the council and administration for their support of our 12 council amendments, which clearly state that we want to continue to support our Agricultural Rural Heritage by keeping Community Solar off our Class One Soils and requiring annual soil tests on the Solar properties. I will continue to work hard as your councilman to be the voice of agriculture for Cecil County.
